The Disappearing Self and the Limits of Mind

Self says to mind, “Who am I this day?”

Mind dresses up self, “Today, I am teacher. Tomorrow I am child, day after, husband; after, I am yet to be known…”

Elbow-patched plaid jacket and the lecture goes fine. Mother’s visiting Tuesday and wife returns Wednesday. Friday, open…

Mind wondering where is the Self?
Self cannot think while mind sets the weekend.

One day self will meet mind together as strangers.
Then begins the long overdue meeting that must take place when strangers meet again.
